Barbara Kyne, Lime Street Photographer, Exhibits During Lancaster Art Walk

Lancaster, PA – April 17, 2007 –Barbara Kyne fine art portrait photographer and The Lancaster City Human Relations Commission have joined forces to present a body of work titled Lancaster Squared.

When completed the Lancaster Squared series, which is an exploration of diversity, will comprise 100 photographs of Lancaster city residents. Twelve initial portraits will be on exhibit at Godfrey Advertising, 40 N. Christian St., Lancaster, during this year’s annual Lancaster Art Walk, beginning Friday April 20 through April 22, and afterwards through May 4.

“We believe the photography series is one way we can show and express the diversity and the richness that exists right here in Lancaster city,” said Lancaster City Human Relations Commission Chair, Albert Gonzalez.

Gonzalez along with city councilman Nelson Polite, 7th grader Zoe Brown Buckwalter and behavioral healthcare worker Lori Weaver are subjects of the “first four” portraits. Each of them has since chosen two other city residents who will become part of Lancaster Squared. Each new person photographed will in turn choose two more people until 100 photographs are made.

The decision to have city residents choose who will be photographed rather than having the commission or any other group select subjects, is central to the process said portrait photographer Barbara Kyne of Lime Street Studios. “Part of what I hope we help uncover and convey with this body of work is each person’s individual humanity and dignity, and the connections that exist between people and across some of the more obvious racial and ethic boundaries. Faces are amazing. They’re the way we’ve recognized and responded to one another since the beginning of time. They’re elemental.”

Lime Street Studios Public Relations Expands Capabilities

Lancaster, PA — April 24, 2007 - Lime Street Studios PR today announced an expansion of their public relations/marketing and business services expertise to include senior communications consultant Sheryl Zapcic.

With more than 18 years experience in a broad range of industries from consumer goods to professional business services, Ms. Zapcic has worked in both corporate and non-profit environments for companies such as consumer products giant Lever Brothers, where she managed a range of brands including Dove and Caress Soap, and Unilever food brands such as Thomas J. Lipton and Van den Bergh Foods. She also worked with NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association and nationally recognized real estate companies Century 21 and Weichert Realtors.

In 2005, she founded her own strategic business and communications firm LeadChange Strategic Marketing, working with clients such as HealthFocus International, a strategic consulting and market research company focused on health, wellness and nutrition; NAI Commercial Partners, Inc.; House Dressing; and Roxy Reading.

At Lime Street Studios PR, Ms. Zapcic will continue to manage a number of her existing clients as well as help develop the agency’s consumer and corporate communications practice.

"We are pleased to share Sheryl’s diverse talents and expertise with existing and new clients, including her ability to bring an added consumer perspective to existing technology and Internet clients. Often one of the biggest challenges facing technology companies, especially those companies who market and sell directly to consumers, is crafting and disseminating messages that are not full of tech jargon or industry-speak. Sheryl’s background with more traditional consumer companies ideally prepares her to act as a consumer guardian on behalf of the agency’s technology clients and consumers,” said Fran Lowe, founding partner, Lime Street Studios PR.

“Her broad industry experience and a record of achieving results for both large and small companies also fits well with the growing range of companies we serve in the mid-Atlantic region," said Fran Lowe.

The agency’s current clients include B2C and B2B technology and Internet companies, BitLeap LLC, Thornberry Ltd, Computer Associates, Cartango.com, Passfaces, and Broadclip.
